About Us

We are not just another humdrum and stuffy run of the mill surveying practice. We’re a forward thinking and progressive multi-disciplined organisation with impeccable Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), Awarding Body of the Built Environment (ABBE), and Surveyors and Valuers Accreditation Scheme (SAVA) professional qualifications and standards who bring a welcome breath of fresh air and simplicity to the complicated world of property. Essentially, what this demonstrates to you is that we have a stringent and accountable surveying process. You can instruct us safe in the knowledge that it is our mission to put the quality of our service along with value for money firmly at the forefront of everything we do.

There are many advantages when choosing us to do your RICS Level 1 Condition Report, RICS Level 2 Survey (AKA Home Buyers Report), Level 3 Building Survey (formerly known as a Structural Survey), or Valuation (including Help to Buy & Right to Buy). We also issue Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) and investigate specific building defects to resolve any problems you may be having with a property.

Looking for a new home is exciting, whether you’re moving or buying a house for the first time. It’s a life-changing decision, and one that can sometimes be confusing and stressful. Even when you’ve found your new home, there’s still plenty more work to be done, and that’s when you need a safe pair of hands like us to guide you through the property minefield. Our expert knowledge will help you to distinguish between a property you think will be your dream home (and potentially a good investment!) and a property that could quickly become be a very expensive nightmare.
For example, Which? (The Consumer Association) found that for those people who did not get a survey when buying a property, on average one in four had to spend over £2,500 to put serious defects right that would have been uncovered in a Home Buyers Report. For one in ten people it was over £10,000. By contrast, those that did get a proper survey were able to negotiate a reduction in the asking price of the property that averaged £2,000.
We are conscious that your home is likely to be your most valuable asset. That’s why if you’re looking to buy, sell, or just stay where you are, it is our mission to help you to be confident that your property is safe and hazard free for you and your family to enjoy.

Since establishing our family run practice in 2012, we’ve successfully created a team of nice, bright, enthusiastic, and in some cases award winning property experts. We pride ourselves on our culture of outstanding service and ethics which have been widely recognised by our peers and are now used as a benchmark of quality within the industry. We are also the proud holders of the Enterprise Yorkshire and the Humber award for “Best Building Surveyors 2018” and the Northern Enterprise award for “Building Valuations Firm of the year 2019 – Yorkshire.”
