About Us

Thomas Dempsey Associates Chartered Surveyors are an independent firm of chartered surveyors, providing detailed, expert, professional property advice. We are regulated by RICS.

Our focus is upon offering the highest quality service with a range of easy-to-understand reports that we tailor to match the specific situation of each person we serve, delivered by a close-knit team. We respond after listening to the circumstance and your case, our advice built on sound building pathology and land use knowledge, contract law and practical solutions.

You can expect thorough inspections; providing some of the latest technology and most detailed reports written in plain English, easily understood yet incorporating the most up to date standards. We have a history of mentoring young professionals and extend our mentoring to clients, whatever their position in property ownership. Ask us about this service.

If you have a property related issue, we will discuss that with you initially, 10 or 15 minutes free of charge to enable you to make an informed appointment decision. Drop us an email outlining your issue, we will return to you with a booked initial phone consultation. Our appointments are always in written format, they state the purpose for which you are engaging our services. Initial enquiries are followed up with our fee proposal, terms and conditions of business.

We are dynamic, entirely independent, able to respond at the correct level of detail with the least amount of fuss. We are client and stakeholder focused, able to cover a range of property, land and construction issues promptly. We therefore act as a professional point of contact for individuals, funding institutions, monitor projects for developers, development funds and their professional advisors.

We are different because of the diversity of skill range and property knowledge within our contact scope. When presented with problems to resolve our solutions are grounded within our own expertise and that of our immediate peer group friends and lifelong associates.

We have supported our professional institutions by Board level representation at RICS Governing Council level and CIOB Member’s Forum and European and local Hub over the last 20 years. We take pride in giving our professional land use, property and building advice to a wide range of clients.
