About Us

Meadow Consultants Ltd is a Chartered Building Surveying practice with specialist expertise in subsidence investigations, structural movement assessments and insurance reinstatement projects. Led by Directors David Crean and Ben John, the practice provides professional surveying and building consultancy services throughout Wales and England, acting for homeowners, private clients, insurers, loss adjusters and property professionals.

Our extensive experience within the subsidence sector distinguishes Meadow from many traditional surveying practices. We regularly investigate structural movement, cracking and foundation-related issues, providing clear, evidence-based advice to help clients understand the cause of defects and the most appropriate remedial solutions. This specialist knowledge is complemented by significant experience working within the insurance sector, where we are routinely instructed on complex property damage claims.

Our insurance services include the assessment and project management of property damage claims arising from fire, flood, escape of water and impact events. We also undertake structural assessments, specific defect investigations, party wall matters, contract administration, and the preparation of specifications and schedules of work. Our approach focuses on delivering practical solutions, effective communication and successful project outcomes for all parties involved.

Alongside our insurance and structural assessment work, we provide a comprehensive range of residential surveying services, including RICS Home Surveys (Level 2 and Level 3), Building Surveys and bespoke defect assessments. Whether investigating structural movement, damp and moisture issues, or other building defects, our reports are tailored to the individual property and the client's specific requirements. We believe every building is unique and therefore avoid a standardised, one-size-fits-all approach.

Where projects require specialist input beyond our core surveying disciplines, we work alongside trusted consultant partners to provide commercial surveying, architectural and engineering services. This enables clients to benefit from a coordinated, multi-disciplinary approach whilst maintaining a single point of contact throughout the project.

We pride ourselves on combining technical expertise with clear communication and a personable service. Clients can expect honest advice, professional guidance and practical recommendations, ensuring they remain fully informed throughout every stage of the surveying process.
