AltMarkt Services Ltd is an independent, RICS Regulated estates consultancy and building surveying practice, helping organisations make informed decisions about their buildings, investment and long-term estates.

Led by a Chartered Building Surveyor with over 18 years' professional experience, we support schools, academy trusts, healthcare organisations and public sector bodies across East Anglia, London, the Home Counties and beyond. Our approach brings together strategic estate planning, technical building expertise, capital funding advice and project delivery. We support clients from the earliest stages of understanding building condition and identifying priorities, through funding and investment planning, design and procurement, to the management and delivery of works on site.

What We Do

Building Surveying – condition surveys, defect investigation, building pathology, feasibility advice and technical assessment.

Estate Strategy & Planning – helping organisations understand their estates, identify risk, prioritise investment and develop practical long-term plans.

Capital Funding & Investment Planning – developing robust, evidence-led projects and supporting education clients with capital funding opportunities, including Condition Improvement Fund applications.

Architectural Design – refurbishment, alteration, extension and improvement projects, including planning and Building Regulations support.

Project Delivery & Management – taking projects from initial concept and feasibility through procurement, construction and completion.

Contract Administration – independent administration and oversight of construction contracts, protecting our clients' interests throughout delivery.

Sustainability & Decarbonisation – helping clients incorporate energy efficiency and decarbonisation into wider estate and investment planning.

Education & Academy Trusts

Education is a core area of our work. 

We support individual schools, academies and Multi Academy Trusts with everything from individual building issues to long-term estate strategies and multi-site capital programmes. We understand the challenges education estates face, including ageing buildings, limited capital budgets, statutory responsibilities, competing priorities and the need for work to be carefully planned around the operation of a school.

Our experience includes estate strategy and condition planning, CIF funding applications, major refurbishment programmes, heating and electrical infrastructure, fire safety and compartmentation, safeguarding improvements, window replacement, accessibility works and the creation and adaptation of teaching spaces.

Rather than viewing each project in isolation, we help clients understand where investment should be prioritised and how individual projects contribute to the long-term resilience of their estate.
