About Us

Being a Practice of both Chartered Building Surveyors and Chartered Architects, we have significant expertise with both traditional buildings and creative new design. At whitworth we understand the needs and requirements of our clients, and work closely with them. We have a wide range of experience and specific fields of interest including building conservation, analysis of historic building defects, timber frame construction, ecclesiastical reordering, sustainable design, restoration of fire damaged properties, expert witness statements, party wall awards and maintenance management. Several partners and associates are accredited in building conservation. The practice has won awards for its conservation work, including a RICS East of England Conservation Award. We work collaboratively with clients and professionals to achieve innovative and practical results. Our aim is to turn ideas and dreams into workable designs with flair and imagination, providing stylish yet practical responses to clients needs. We have offices in Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, Bishops Stortford & Norwich allowing us to cover work cross the East of England although we undertake work throughout the UK.
