About Us

Why do you need RICS Home Survey – because forewarned is forearmed. Choosing the right survey will help highlight any serious problems and advise you of the specific risks before you commit to the process of buying a property.

It is important to remember that your mortgage lenders valuation report is not a survey. It merely tells your lender whether or not the property is reasonably secure for your loan. A RICS survey will tell you the actual condition of the property. That vital information can be invaluable during price negotiations and will also help you avoid expensive surprises after you have moved in.

When we set up this business, we wanted to create a service that focused on you - our client. The home buying process is pretty complex and over the years we have seen how stressful it can be for many. So, together with our talented team, we’ve made sure that you can enjoy a simplified, smoother, and happier experience from start to finish.

To achieve this, we have made the decision to regulate the number of new instructions we undertake at any given time. This allows us to spend more time on each job, enabling us to spend more time talking to our clients before and after inspections and keeping them fully informed.

Here at GJS Dillon House Surveys, we promise you…

Efficiency:

Our Chartered Surveyors work as a team with our friendly office staff to provide a fast and efficient service. We use the latest technology to record our findings, and this means our accurate and detailed report will be sent to you within 5 working days.

Expertise:

Our Surveyors have a wealth of expertise and can advise you on which survey you need for your property. Before, during and after the report we answer all your questions and ensure you fully understand our findings.

Cost-effective:

Buying a house is a significant investment. In some instances, our findings enable clients to negotiate a significant amount off the purchase price. In other cases, it helps them recognise that the property would be a bad investment. While most purchases are worry-free, our expert advice avoids the stress and expense of making the wrong decision.

We go the extra mile:

We understand that upon receiving the report you may be left with a list of repairs but unsure of their severity or who to contact. Therefore, we can include a Planned Maintenance Schedule with all Surveys which itemises each defect along with a suggested time scale for repair, and offers some appropriate contractors to contact in order to obtain quotes.

At GJS Dillon – The House Surveyors we carry out three different types of reports: -

1. RICS Home Survey – Level 2
2. RICS Home Survey – Level 3
3. Bespoke - Level 3 Survey
