RICS Home survey level two

There are two different level two surveys, with and without a valuation.

RICS Home survey level two (survey only)

The RICS Home survey level two (survey only)  is recommended when more extensive information is needed on conventional houses, flats or bungalows built from common building materials and apparently in reasonable condition. It costs more than the level one survey, but includes a more extensive inspection, advice on repairs and ongoing maintenance, issues that need to be investigated to prevent serious damage or dangerous conditions, legal issues that need to be addressed before conveyancing is completed, and information on location and local environment.

RICS Home survey level two (survey and valuation)

The level two (survey and valuation) report provides all the benefits of the level two (survey only) with the additional benefits of the surveyor’s professional opinion on the ‘market value’ of the property and an insurance reinstatement cost assessment for the property.

This was previously called the HomeBuyer Report.
