About Us

Hampson Lewis Ltd was formed in the Year 2000 out of the amalgamation of J Hampson & Co and Ken Lewis & Associates, Chartered Building Surveyors. The firm of J Hampson & Co was established in the early 1960’s by Mr J H Brown. Dilwyn Jones joined the firm of J Hampson & Co in 1983 and is a Fellow of the RICS.

Dilwyn Jones then became a partner in 1988 and finally took sole ownership in 1994. In the Year 2000 Mr Jones took over the firm of Ken Lewis, a respected Chartered Surveyor who he had previously worked with as a trainee. The firm was amalgamated as Hampson Lewis in the Year 2000.

The firm specialises in building surveying, concentrating on building surveys of both residential and commercial buildings. We have developed an expertise over the years in building disputes and in particular, Mr Jones has become an expert in the preparation of Expert Witness Reports and matters involving the Party Wall etc Act 1996.
